
i thought about replacing this with a similar, more powerful model. 200 watts total power is pretty decent.
curiously enough, the ra150 has less power. huh?
ra100 has 100watts per channel at 4 ohms (75 watts/channel at 8 ohms),
the ra150 offers 75 watts/channel at 4 ohms (you have to use bridged mode to get a total 150 watts at 8ohm -- and then you only have a single output signal).
guess they decided to change the name to reflect the new bridge power option, and fall in step with how other amps name/market their power.
still seems a tad misleading.
ok, so the ra300 offers more power, but only 22% more. i don't need a lot more power, so that might work -- but doesn't feel worth the cost to upgrade here. the ra500 would work, but starting to add weight, and bulk. since i'm not eager to upgrade -- the extra expense adds up quickly here.
