it's small. seems easy enough to use. once i got it paired up with my laptop it worked really well, good reception and quite accurate.
nice to see prices coming down on these devices. i'd like to see more features, like a power switch that let's you choose between auto shut-off, or always-on.
i can also suddenly see the usefulness of a unit that also records my tracklog, and stores that on a removable SD card. that way, when i travel i can use it to track where i went (retrace my steps & find shops / places i'd like to revisit) -- even when i'm not actively using another device. the e-trex is a tad too large for casual wear.
these types of bluetooth interfaces are really only useful if you are actively using another device -- that's what they are meant for right??
So now i'm taking a look at the Holux 305iii CF card, with bluetooth 'slipper'. Appears slightly larger, but features switchless design and memory card. there's no perfect device, but it's modular design looks very versatile.
