
the interrupt for the com port is automatically set. curiously enough on the new laptop it set com 3 to irq 7 along with a different i/o memory address than standard.
i had trouble get the rex to work & sync when bluetooth was on, even though the com port is set aside...
changing settings tends to fix things up. in the end, decided just to use com 2 instead of com 3 here.
i think the rex app is written with more old school win32 drivers and polls the address or port manually. you can't really define any settings ahead of time. i'm assuming when it polled for the bluetooth ports, it got hung up on something.
