minidisc repair / jog wheel

mindy dropped off the minidisc player she was borrowing from a friend - the jog wheel had stopped functioning. i wasn't sure what the problem was although i suspected something simple, probably mechanical. everything else worked just fine.
it was difficult to get the front plate off, but after working from the inside a bunch, i figured various elements like the ribbon cable to the panel were fine. i focused my effort on the wheel itself.
some canned air and agressive turning free'd up the dirty contact on the jog wheel interface -- and got things working smooth again.
